been produced as patterns or prototypes to show what British Euros would
look like, and are the same dimensions and composition as the European
euro coins, but have distinctive new designs on both obverse and reverse,
the Queen's portrait for the "British" side, and a suggested new
set of designs for the "European" side. Coins come in a plush
leatherette hinged case with the certificate of issue. There are 1, 2, 5,
10, 20, 50 cents, bimetallic 1 and 2 Euro coins, and a large 5 euro with a
distinctive British design in keeping with the ruling that larger
denominations of Euro coins will be solely for use in the country of
issue.
